“What drives the price of a stock is not just the fundamentals, but investor's perception of those fundamentals.”

Investment Philosophy

The Rockland Fund invests primarily in high quality small capitalization companies that are growing earnings substantially faster than the underlying market. We are particularly interested in those companies that are rapidly gaining market share due to a sustainable and proprietary edge over the competition. This advantage could be the result of better products, new marketing muscle, superior distribution, incentives to management, or a combination of the above.

Most of the investment ideas are found through computer screens, company visits, investment conferences, and trade shows. The average valuation of our holdings has consistently been at a sharp discount to the company's growth rate.

Meetings with company management teams are conducted as a part of our fundamental research process. A primary goal of the management team is to identify those companies that may exceed Wall Street's earnings expectations by a wide margin. We seek to be 100% invested at all times.
